Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 226 in Apex, NC!

Pack 226 would like to welcome you and your family to Cub Scouts!  Pack 226 is chartered by Apex United Methodist Church which has graciously provides our Pack with meeting space at Apex UMC and actively supports our Cub Scout program. The Boy Scouts of America provides training to our leaders each year to help us conduct a great program. We have many experienced leaders, most that started out not knowing anything about Cub Scouts but have grown to love the program.

Our Cub Scout Pack's main focus is on the outdoors.  We provide an exciting camping program where the entire Cub Scout Pack Family camps 3 or 4 times a year.  Our Family camping includes all members of the family that wish to join us.  We typically will camp at a state park or a Boy Scout Campground.  Additionally, we have had several different hiking adventures through the various state parks located within an hour of Apex, NC.  (Harris Lake, Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, Umstead Park, Raven Rock, etc.)

In addition to our outdoor program, we also have an exciting Pinewood Derby where the cub scouts and their responsible adults will build a small car out of a block of wood provided by the Pack.  In February, we have our Blue and Gold Banquet that celebrates our Webelos achieving the highest Cub Scout Award, that is the Arrow of Light.  We deliver back to the community with activities such as Scouting for Food where scouts provide service to those in need, Holiday Mail for Heroes, Gleaning Sweet Potatoes, Scout Sunday, the Apex Christmas Parade, and our annual Popcorn Fundraiser.  We strive to be a good neighbor to our Apex and Cary Community!

Posted by rswain on Jul 23 2017 - 12:04pm

I would like to take a brief minute and introduce myself. My name is Renee Esposito and my sons Jason (Arrow of Light) & Matthew (Wolf) are part of the Pack. I volunteered this year to help with fundraising. My first task is coordinating our upcoming annual Popcorn Fundraiser! The popcorn sales will kickoff at our September 25th Pack Meeting, so please mark your calendars now to ensure your sons will be there! I have exciting things planned for the Scouts at the meeting as well as important information I will be handing out and discussing to all parents.

Uniform Exchange/Resale

Posted by rswain on May 8 2017 - 12:47pm

If your scout has outgrown their uniform, please consider donating their uniform to the Pack 226 Uniform Exchange / Resale. This is a great opportunity for the scouts in our pack to get some great deals on uniform pieces. Thank you for making scouting affordable to all.

Change in location for Rank Advancement Ceremony, PLEASE READ!

Posted by rswain on May 3 2017 - 10:29am

The Rank Promotion Ceremony is an end of the year celebration for your scout and of all the accomplishments he completed this year. As Tigers move up to Wolves, Wolves to Bears, Bears to Weblos and Weblos to Arrows of Light, we come together as a pack to reward them with badges, new neckerchiefs and sliders. This upward advancement not only prepares our sons to be better men but builds the confidence that will be the spark they need later in life.
